ICanQuit website

Information and support for people quitting or wanting to quit smoking. The site also has an online social networking group a free, downloadable Quit Kit.

Quit Now website

Information and resources about the benefits of quitting smoking, how to quit and what to do if you are having trouble quitting. The website also links to other resources and campaigns and contains tools to help people quit smoking.

My QuitBuddy

A downloadable, free app available on the App Store, Google Play or Windows Phone Store. The app tracks the individual’s progress with quitting smoking, records personal goals, produces personalised statistics related to the individual’s success and provides motivating content. The app also features a community board and can be programed to respond to an individual’s smoking danger times.

Quitline – 13 7848

A telephone service available to smokers who want to quit smoking or who are thinking about quitting smoking and would like some more information. The Quitline is confidential and staffed by professional advisors. The Quitline is available from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday. Call the Quitline from anywhere in Australia for the cost of a local call (normal charges apply for mobile phones).

A resource for health and community workers about young parents and smoking.

Quit for Two

A downloadable, free app available on the App Store, Google Play or Windows Phone Store. Designed for those who are pregnant or planning to fall pregnant. The app features games, practical quit tips and advice, as well as information about the baby’s development.

No Smokes

This website targets young indigenous people and supports them to quit smoking early or to never start. The website included videos, games and other interactive content.

Smoking resources for young people

Smarter than Smoking

A website containing smoking information for young people, schools and parents. Plenty of interactive games, videos, facts and statistics. The website also contains teacher resources and activity sheets.

Youth Solutions’ Quit SAFE project

Quit SAFE is a community education package that assists young people to reduce or cease their use of tobacco. The package is delivered to young people in the form of a series of workshops. Kids Quit Program

A free e-learning program that provides professionals with simple strategies for advising young people, parents and carers with smoking cessation advice and strategies to reduce exposure to Second hand Smoke (SHS).  KidsQuit was developed by The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW) Departments of Adolescents and Respiratory Medicine, Kids Health, Pharmacy and the Education Centre.
